“Having been a student here myself and now serving as a Carmelite Sister of Charity and assistant director of the College Residence is a gift that allows me to accompany students through this stage from within. Inspired by Saint Joaquina de Vedruna’s pedagogy of love, I wish to walk alongside each young person, believing in their potential and fostering their holistic growth. My hope is to help make our College a home with open doors, where we can live as a family and learn to ‘work for the glory of God and the good of our neighbor’ (Saint Joaquina de Vedruna).”

Dear students, dear parents, family and friends,
It is a pleasure to welcome you on my behalf and on behalf of the entire team that make possible Colegio Mayor Vedruna.
From my work as Director of the Mayor I pretend to offer the best of myself from the essential and fundamental values in our lives such as love, joy, commitment and responsibility, faithful to the ideology of our founder Santa Joaquina de Vedruna.
We feel fortunate in this Educational Project, through which we are entrusted with the wonderful and magical task of accompanying our young university students in their integral formation. We walk alongside them, sharing and living with enthusiasm all the wealth that emanates from the Colegio Mayor. From there, from school life, each year we offer various activities, workshops, trainings, conferences …, enjoying each one of them throughout the year, as well as at important moments as Solidarity Week and Culture Week. All this in order to contribute and favor the growth and personal development of the schoolgirls, caring for and nurturing all the dimensions of their person, such as: the spiritual dimension, the physical dimension, the intellectual dimension and the socio-emotional dimension, all of them together.
In this beautiful mission in which we trust, we find ourselves united by the Vedruna Charism, living as a family and working as a team, since nothing worthwhile is achieved alone, this being the main key to any achievement.
I will have the door open for everyone and everything. I hope, with enthusiasm, that the Colegio Mayor is for all the schoolgirls, in addition to a place of study and work, a meeting place, a place of relationship, ultimately of LIFE, and be the foundation and pillar for young women to become Strong, Humble and Diligent women, in the style of Santa Joaquina de Vedruna.

We believe that walking alongside young university students and working as a team always leads to better results. That is why we invite our students to become part of the Student Council, giving them the opportunity to take an active role in the life of our Colegio Mayor and help build a committed, participatory community that welcomes new ideas and initiatives.
The student representatives encourage their fellow students to take part in different activities, promote new initiatives and foster a positive atmosphere of coexistence, nurturing the family spirit that makes our community so special.
We are truly fortunate to have such a wonderful team!
This academic year, the Student Council is made up of:

- Culture Delegates: Yessenia Carrandi and Marta Pavón.
- Culture Support: Alma Aparicio.
- Sports Delegates: Pilar de María and Marina Salas.
- Sports Support: Carmen Bezanilla.
- Debate Delegates: Blanca Batuecas and Aitana Pellicer.
We remain open to the participation, fresh ideas and suggestions of all our students, because together we make our Colegio Mayor a home where we can grow, share our lives and live with a true family spirit.

Committees
```htmlStudents can also take an active part in college life by joining one of the committees. This involves helping to run a particular area of college life in which all students participate. Committees are set up according to the needs and interests of the students themselves, although there are usually five:
- Dining Committee, which helps plan the menus and makes sure everything runs smoothly in the dining room.
- Film Committee, which organises screenings of interesting films and encourages us to enjoy them together.
- Library Committee, which manages book loans and helps maintain a quiet atmosphere in the study area.
- Ecology Committee, which raises awareness of the importance of caring for our Common Home.
- Social Media Committee, which promotes communication about life at our Colegio Mayor.
On some occasions, other committees have been created in response to the needs and suggestions of the students. We are always open to participation and new ideas!
